My Review – 4.5 Stars
UGH!!!! I hate Lisa right now! No, I’m kidding; I love her. But I need the rest of Reese’s story! At least we only have to wait a month.
The anticipation for what I knew was coming was killing me! The entire time Reese was getting to know Brian and falling for him, I kept thinking about what was going to happen the minute she realized Mark was his brother. Every step of her journey was gut-wrenching. First Reese’s uncertainty surrounding her one night with Mark, then the moment she was confronted with her “mistake”, and her inner-turmoil as she tried to reconcile her feelings for both men and struggled through everything she believed about them. Usually I have a clear choice as to whom I hope the heroine will end up with, but I was torn at first. I equally liked Mark and Brian. They both seemed to care for her and the chemistry was off the charts. However, I am hoping that something sets them apart in book 2, because the only thing swaying my opinion was how Reese felt. I kept waiting for one of them to show their true colors. They couldn’t both be good guys, right? Poor Reese! I don’t know how she could deal with all the emotions swirling through her. I’m dying to see who she chooses!
Reserved and responsible Reese Brady refuses to miss her chance with bad boy rock star Mark Ashton. After one steamy night, she’s convinced the emotional connection they shared was just a figment of her imagination. After all, he’s a womanizer whose affairs are highly publicized.
Reese strives to leave that night behind her after a handsome business mogul asks her to dinner. Her relationship with Brian Fox quickly escalates into something meaningful, but Reese never expects the secret that emerges when he finally invites her to his penthouse.
She fell in love with a rock star the last time she was there. How could she know she’d fall in love with his brother next?
