It only comes once in a lifetime, that all consuming love—the kind that grips your heart and soul like a vice and never lets go.

When that love is threatened; you’d do anything to protect the only good thing in your life, even if that means surrendering and letting it go.

A lot can happen in ten years—heartbreak, devastation, loss.

But when a chance encounter throws two broken souls together again, will their pasts be too much to put behind them?

Or will they be able to put all of their fears aside for one last chance at love?

My Review – 5 Stars

Settle into your favorite reading spot, grab some snacks and a drink, and queue your EOW book playlist, because you’re not going to want to move until you’ve finished Harmony and Tristan’s story. And the playlist is a must to help you feel the emotions more deeply along the way. Oh, and you might need some tissues, too.

Abigail Davies & Danielle Dickson wrote an incredibly beautiful and poignant second chance romance. I laughed. I cried. I loved. There were so many life changing and emotional-wrenching moments for Harmony and Tristan that it’s difficult to write a review without giving away pieces of their story. I want you to have the pleasure of experiencing their journey as I did, so I’m going to keep it vague.

The authors expertly conveyed each moment, emotion, and relationship to allow us to fully grasp every aspect of Tristan’s and Harmony’s lives. And the flashes into the past throughout the book were perfect and essential. My heart broke so many times over the circumstances and pain that Harmony and Tristan experienced. Their love and passion for one another was soul deep, but with all of the years and devastation between them, I wondered how they would ever be able to move through it all to find their way back to each other. At the same time, I felt like the drama and pain of the past were fated; Harmony and Tristan wouldn’t be the same in the end without it. You’ll understand once you read their story.

I felt like Tristan was stuck in the anger stage of grief for years because not only was he dealing with the loss of a loved one, but he was also still mourning the loss of his first love, Harmony. His volatility simmered just below the surface, and every unfavorable interaction quickly brought him to boiling. Fortunately, with his years of experience concealing his emotions, he was able to harness it before too much spilled over and burned those around him. That’s not to say others weren’t affected by his inability to cope with his losses. Tristan struggled greatly and lacked the ability to accept help or even recognize that he needed it. It wasn’t until he was forced to face reality that he finally relented.

Harmony was such a special and beautiful woman. I absolutely adored everything about her. She was patient, understanding, loving, strong, and thoughtful. Tristan was lucky to have her back in his life in whatever capacity they were both willing to accept. I was pleased with how Harmony was able to shed the heartbreak from her past and grow into a new woman finally finding herself and rejuvenating her passion for life. It was also wonderful to witness Harmony and Tristan’s new relationship develop allowing them to move on and let go of their shared past.

Abigail Davies grew up with a passion for words, storytelling, maths, and anything pink. Dreaming up characters—quite literally—and talking to them out loud is a daily occurrence for her. She finds it fascinating how a whole world can be built with words alone, and how everyone reads and interprets a story differently. Now following her dreams of writing, Abigail has found the passion that she always knew was there. When she’s not writing: she’s a mother to two daughters who she encourages to use their imagination as she believes that it’s a magical thing, or getting lost in a good book. If she’s doing neither of those things, you can be sure she’s surfing the web buying new makeup, clothes, or binge watching another show as she becomes one with her sofa.

Danielle Dickson has always dreamed about writing a book. With many stories to tell, she finally pulled her finger out one morning when one story screamed at her louder than the rest. When Danielle’s not writing, she can be found devouring the words of other people’s worlds, painting people’s faces with makeup, or feeding her unhealthy obsession of pink iced doughnuts—seriously, she’s obsessed. A self-confessed weirdo and horror movie fanatic, there’s never a dull moment in her clumsy, fun-filled life. She gets lost in the magic a book immerses you in and hopes to capture that magic for her readers.
